The government apologized through PT Kereta Api (PT KA) of Central Java train accident that occurred on Saturday (2 October 2010) ago. The government was very concerned and distressed over the incident which resulted in 35 people were killed.
This was submitted by the Director General of Railways Ministry of Communications Tunjung Inderawan a news conference in Gambir station in Central Jakarta on Monday (4 oct 2010) morning.
Before starting the press conference Tunjung invite all who were present including reporters and journalists to pray as a sign of mourning to the victims of train collision in the village of Petarukan, Pemalang, and two trains that intersect at Purwosari Station, Solo.
"I am very concerned about the government's behalf and apologize for this incident to the whole society, to train users, especially to the victims and their families," said Saar open talks to reporters who attended the press conference.
"This is the will of the Almighty, a test for us all. Hopefully this did not discourage us to continue to promote Indonesian railways," he said.
After that, who accompanied Ignatius Tunjung Jonan (President Director of PT KA) said that the number of victims killed in accident in Petarukan numbered 34 people. while a train accident in Solo numbered one person.
