JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Daily Compass was awarded as Indonesia's Most Favorite Brand Netizen Newspapers category of MarkPlus 2010, Wednesday (10/27/2010) night. Awards received by Abun Sanda, Kompas Daily Business Director at Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta.

In appreciation, the Kompas Daily newspaper designated as the most favorite choice of Internet users (netizens) in Indonesia through ePaper version which can be accessed at http://epaper.kompas.com.

In addition to Compass, there are 44 other brands that received a similar award. The 45th five brands were selected by netizens, among others, based on online activity in the virtual world either in the form of a website as well as with the use of social media like blogs, Facebook and Twitter, as part of a viral marketing strategy.

Among other things, Indomie (instant noodle category) that has a fan page up "Indomie Instant Noodles", Anlene (category adult milk powder) enabled held a quiz and share health tips via Twitter.

In addition, Toyota (car category) with diverse communities connected by a single Twitter account @ ToyotaID, and Credit Card Klikbca.com BCA with its website.

Award for Kompasiana

The award was followed by Marketeers Dinner Seminar with the theme of "Marketing to netizens", featuring Herman Kartajaya as the main speaker.
Herman explained, information on the psychographic profile of Internet users in Indonesia, including the development of netizens lifestyle phenomenon, based on research findings in the field of "netizens Indonesia 2010: Attitude and Behavior."

Research conducted by Insight MarkPlus of 1500 respondents in several Indonesian cities has also become the basis for setting 45 brands Netizen favorite.
In the event that was also attended by some bloggers and activists of social media, the Marketeers give awards to the 12 drivers netizens in Indonesia, especially in the city, as Marketeers Nertizen Champion.
