LANGKAT, N SUMATERA – Bukit Lawang tourist resort reportedly has attracted more European visitors who top total tourists who come to the tourism destination located at Bahorok, Langkat regency, North Sumatera.
Langkat’s Tourism, Art and Culture agency chief Rudi Kinandung revealed Saturday (Nov.20) that European tourists in Bukit Lawang has reached 5,372 visitors till late October 2010.
“Mostly they were from Holland, England, Germany, France, Suisse, Spain, Italy and Belgium,” said Kinandung as cited by Antara.
The good news, he said, inspires the agency to establish an observation team for further development.
“The regent has issued a decree No.556.05-27/K/2010, dated on July 16, 2010,” he explained the regent decree orders all working unit to support the program.
According to him, the attempt will cover illegal levy, parking area arrangement, and to order illegal buildings constructed.
