Tehran - Iran on Tuesday hanged a man who was accused of spying for Israel`s Mossad intelligence service, according to the official IRNA news agency.
Iran said Ali-Akbar Siadat provided Israeli spy agency Mossad classified information for six years and received 60,000 dollars for his work.
According to IRNA, Siadati began his alleged espionage activities in 2004 and was arrested in 2008 while planning to flee Iran.
Siadat had acknowledged having established contacts with one Israeli embassy overseas and that he had been giving information "about missiles belonging to the Revolutionary Guards," according to the IRNA report.
