British super-middleweight champion James DeGale has been added to the undercard of Ricky Burns' world title defence in Glasgow on Saturday.
However, confusion reigns over whether Olympic champion DeGale will meet Commonwealth title-holder George Groves on 9 April, as scheduled.
Groves' handlers, Hayemaker Promotions, won the purse bid but DeGale's promoter Frank Warren said he had heard nothing.
"At the moment, nothing has been done," stated Warren.
"The purse bid was won by Dave Coldwell at David Haye promotions and that's where it is.
"He [Coldwell] has a contract that we have signed for the fight on 9 April. There are no politics from us. If you put a purse bid in and you win, you do it on the intention of promoting the fight.
"It is probably the biggest purse bid for a domestic fight, including the heavyweight division."
Warren has decided DeGale can wait no longer to fight again following his title success over Paul Smith in December, in only his ninth professional bout, and he will take on an unnamed opponent at Braehead Arena.
Warren added: "No venue has been announced. We heard it was going on at the Olympia [in Earls Court, London] but nothing since.
"I can't have James sitting around waiting. I have got to get my man out, he has got to fight."
DeGale intends to take his frustration out in the ring on Saturday, before Burns faces Ghana's Joseph Laryea in the second defence of his WBO super-featherweight title.
The 25-year-old DeGale has a rivalry with Groves, 22, that stretches back to their amateur days and their spell training together in the same London gym.
"It seems my career has been held up by him," DeGale said. "He has lived in my shadow for half of his life now so he's going to be a bit bitter and jealous.
"I just want to get in there and knock him out. I really don't like the kid, he is smug and horrible."
But DeGale has stressed that he will be fully focused on his scheduled eight-round contest on Saturday.
"I'm still a novice to the professional scene," he said. "I need the rounds and I need the fights, I have got to stay active."
