Gaza - Security officials found the body of an Italian man who had been abducted in the Gaza Strip in an abandoned house on Friday, a Hamas security official said.
Two men were arrested and others were being sought.
A Jihadist Salafi group in the Gaza Strip aligned with al Qaeda on Thursday had threatened to execute Vittorio Arigoni by 17:00 local time (1400 GMT) unless their leader, whom Hamas arrested last month, was freed.
