VIVAnews - PT Ford Motor Indonesia (FMI) is overwhelmed by the Ford Fiesta car orders. Demand for Ford Fiesta car when it reached 1,100 units, but the new Ford could meet the 200 units in October 2010.
"It was not choked up, but demand for the Ford Fiesta car lot," said Director of Marketing for Ford Motor Indonesia, Davy Tuilan, in Jakarta, Thursday, October 21, 2010.
According to Davy, FMI did not think public enthusiasm for the car that was launched in Indonesia International Motor Show (IMMS) 2010 is quite high. When launched Ford Fiesta car was about 800 units to obtain reservations.
"We do not have experience in the city car segment, it turns over demand, and this is not only happening in Indonesia. Thailand and other countries are also over-demand, so we fight," he said.
Currently, FMI are setting back the schedule of delivery orders Ford Fiesta car. Davy explained, FMI only get Ford Fiesta car import quota of 200 units in October 2010 from the Ford factory in Thailand.
"We promised at the end of the year or early 2011 all requests are met," he said. (Hs)
