MEDAN, North Sumatra – The humanitarian assistance campaign to commemorate National Health day not realized. North Sumatera Health agency’s promise to order local hospitals offering jumbo discounts on December 9 not proved, as many of them argued were not alerted.
The Health agency head Chandra Syafei, earlier, affirmed has disseminated the order to goverment and non-government owned hospitals.
“If they charged no fee is even better policy,” said he, adding the program not only projected to poor patients.
However, Waspada Online’s field observation found that province owned Pirngadi hospital remains charge patients with normal fee.
“I have no idea about the program, but just heard it from the journalists,” Pirngadi spokesman M Yasin Sidabutar told Waspada Online at his office, in Medan, North Sumatera.
On other occasion, province owned Adam Malik hospital spokesman Sairi M Saragih not yet learnt the policy from North Sumatera Health agency.
“If the agency informed us, Adam Malik hospital willing to implement,” he remarked.
