Jakarta - Indonesia is still optimistic it will make the best in the second leg of the final round of the ASEAN Football Federation Suzuki Cup against Malaysia here on Wednesday.

"Certainly we are optimistic for the second leg of the final round against Malaysia," national team`s manager Andi Darussalam Tabusala said at a press conference here on Tuesday.

Indonesia lost 0-3 to Malaysia in the first leg of the final round in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday. In order to be able to win the Cup Indonesia has to win 4-0 in the second leg on Wednesday.

Andi said he had strived to return the players` confidence after the loss.

Asked about possible disruptions in the game on Wednesday Andi said this championship puts forward friendship and therefore what had happened at Bukit Jalil stadium (in Kuala Lumpur) need not happen here.

The match in Kuala Lumpur was halted after Indonesia protested distractions from laser beamed by spectators.

"Give support to the national team and be a good host," Andi said.

Regarding the players that would be fielded on Wednesday Andi said it would be coach Alfred Riedl that would determine them.

Andi hoped the Indonesian team would be able to score first to open up more goals.
Andi said two players had been confirmed not to play namely Yongki Ariwibowo who suffered an injury and Oktovianus Maniani due to the yellow cards he had received.

Unlike in Kuala Lumpur where the Indonesian team wore white and green they would wear the red and white costumes in the game on Wednesday.

Malaysian coach Rajagobal Khrisnasamy meanwhile said his players were focused on the second leg of the final round which would be a classic meet between the two countries` national teams.

"This is a classic meet between Indonesia and Malaysia. We will play the best to win the match," he said.

Asked if his team would play defensively as it would be enough for them to just make a draw to win the game, Rajagobal said his team would play as he would direct.
