Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said in a statement that the nation's economic performance in 2010, especially on Gross Domestic Product (GDP) worth US$700 billion, was satisfying.

Based on data collected by the National Statistics Agency of the third quarter of 2010, Java still contributed most of the GDP by 57.6 percent followed by Sumatra by 23.7 percent; Kalimantan, 9.2 percent; Sulawesi, 4.6 percent and other provinces by 4.9 percent.

Compared to years earlier, the situation was not much different. Java kicked in 58.1 percent, Sumatra 23.5 percent, Kalimantan 9.2 percent, Sulawesi 4.5 percent, Bali and Nusa Tenggara 2.7 percent, Maluku and Papua 2 percent.

Meanwhile, Q3 growth in 2010 recorded four provinces in Java such as Jakarta, East Java, West Java and Central Java as top contributors in the GDP by 53.9 percent.
